Summer Day Camp

Summer Day Camps offer enriching weekly camp theme activities where friends are made through group games, sports & fitness, hands-on science activities, arts & crafts, music and swimming!

The Y's Summer Day Camp is one of the oldest and most trusted camping programs in the country. Our day camps provide fun, child-centered activities and opportunities for learning through discovery, and challenge children to grow in imagination, creativity, self-directed initiative and leadership.

Summer Day Camp 2018 Dates, Time & Cost

Date: Week-long camps from May 21 - August 23

Time6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

  • Summer Day Camp Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Before Camp: 6:30 – 9:00 a.m.
  • After Camp: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
  • Sports Camp Add-Ons: 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Ages: 5-12 years old


A $20 deposit per session is due at the time of registration.

Full Week (5 days)

  • Y Members: $195 per week
  • Non-members: $225 per week

Holiday Week* (4 days)

  • Y Members: $156
  • Non-members: $180

*4-day weeks for May 29 - June 1 and July 2 - July 6 Summer Day Camps.

Super Heros Unite!

Do you have what it takes to be a super camper? Come spend the week at our state-of-the-art superhero academy. And once the training ends, we’ll have to work together to defeat some of the most infamous super villains known to mankind!

Color Wars

1,2,3,4 - who’s ready for a Color War? Join us as we battle in the 2nd Annual YMCA Color War! From puzzles to games to competitions, this week has it all! Don't miss out on this action-packed week of color FUN!

Summer Day Camp 2018 Add-Ons

Family Program Package does not apply.

Youth Sports Camp

Enhance your child’s Summer Day Camp experience with Youth Sports Camp add-ons. This is a great opportunity for campers to explore the basics or sharpen their skills in basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball or lacrosse five days a week.

Y Members & Non-Members $55 per week

Half day Sports Camp add-ons are offered at Downtown, Garden Ranch and Southeast; full day Sports Camp add-ons are offered at Briargate and Tri-Lakes during the Summer Day Camp program from June 11—July 27.

Swim Lessons

Y Swim Lesson curriculum focuses on water safety for the beginning swimmer. As students advance, swimming stages will further develop endurance and stamina while increasing technique. This skill-based approach, which begins with critical water safety skills, develops the swimmer as a whole, building confidence and improving swimming skills.

Members $30 per week
Non-Members $50 per week

Lessons will be held Monday—Thursday during the Summer Day Camp program, available dates and times will vary by location.

Summer Day Camp 2018 Mini Camps

Our Mini Camps provide a half day experience that focuses on your child's special interests! Our camps include activities, take-home projects, and a chance to make new friends while our campers are doing something they love!

Mini Camp Descriptions

Fly to the Moon (Flight, Space, & Rocketry)

Ages: 5-12

Mission Control, do you copy? We are headed on a mission to learn about forces of flight, planets, constellations and more. Our itinerary for the week includes lunar landers, shuttle craft, and rockets. It's a space party and we've "planet"!

Science Smorgasboard

Ages: 5-12

Grab your lab coat as we gear up for "al-kynes" of fun! Let's experiment as we learn about energy, chemical reactions, the science behind sound, and more!

Art'Rageously Fun

Ages: 5-8

Do you like to create, paint and play? It's time to let your creativity run wild! We will weave, try out different kinds of painting, nad experiment with salt dough throughout the week.

Art in Action

Ages: 9-12

"Art" you excited? Because we sure are! Sculpting, paper mache, watercolors and more will all be part of this week's adventure into art. 

Young Chefs (Cooking)

Ages: 9-12

Preheat the oven and set the timer - it's time to get cooking! This week will get your tastebuds excited as we cook tasty treats from tortillas to souffles.

Kids in the Kitchen (Cooking)

Ages: 5-8

Hey kids, what'cha got cookin'? Come learn cooking basics with us while we whip up delectable delights like muffins, pancakes and more!
