It’s a Play Date: YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day™ Aims to Get Families Moving Through Play

On Saturday, April 16 Y’s across the country are celebrating Healthy Kids Day™. The national initiative helps to improve the health and well-being of families across the country. On this day, Ys hold events and encourage parents to make play dates with their kids every day as a simple way to become a healthier, more active and connected family. On this day all Y’s in the Pikes Peak region will offer free events for families in our community.

New Leadership at the Y

Dan Dummermuth Dan Dummermuth: New President/CEO
The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region is pleased to announce new leadership in our association. Dan Dummermuth is the new President/CEO. Dan has been serving the YMCA movement for over 25 years and the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region since 2003. For the past seven years Dan has been responsible for the supervision of six facility branch operations, two private recreation centers operated by the Y and a resident camp. Total budget responsibility of $18 million. His experience and vision will lead the Y into the next generation.

Boyd Williams Boyd Williams: New Senior Vice President/COO
Boyd Williams is the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region’s new COO/Vice-President of Operations. Boyd comes to the Y from the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee where he served as Vice-President of Membership. Boyd has been serving the YMCA movement for over 17 years and comes to Colorado Springs with extensive experience in member service, engagement and satisfaction.
